Prima Nexus supported LASAM's 24th AGM and animal research sessions at IIUM, UiTM and Monash in 2019
The Laboratory Animal Science Association of Malaysia met in Putrajaya for a scientific seminar and its 24th AGM. During the year, Prima Nexus also co-organised animal research sessions at IIUM and UiTM and sponsored a workshop at Monash University Malaysia.

BANDAR SUNWAY, 9 October 2019: The Laboratory Animal Science Association of Malaysia (LASAM) held its Scientific Seminar and 24th Annual General Meeting at Palm Garden Hotel, IOI Resort City, Putrajaya, on 27 August 2019, with the support of Prima Nexus. During the year, Prima Nexus also co-organised animal research sessions at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Kuantan and at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Sungai Buloh, and sponsored an animal workshop at Monash University Malaysia.
A seminar and the 24th AGM
LASAM held a morning scientific seminar for its members on Tuesday 27 August, before its 24th Annual General Meeting at noon. The tentative programme listed talks on a DNA vaccine tested in a preclinical transgenic mouse model, animal behaviour studies, rodent models of addiction and dementia, inhalation anaesthesia for animal surgery, and a microinjection system for small laboratory animals. The photos show a full meeting room during the talks and a group photo of the participants. Prima Nexus supported the meeting, and two members of the Prima Nexus team served on the LASAM executive committee at the time.
Animal research sessions at IIUM and UiTM
On 11 March, Prima Nexus and IIUM's CREAM co-organised Usage of Animals in Life Science Research, a seminar in the CREAM Seminar Room of the Multidisciplinary Building, Kulliyyah of Science, IIUM Kuantan. On 26 April, Prima Nexus co-organised Introduction to Animal Research: Part 1 with UiTM's LACU, in Seminar Room 4 on Level 4 of the Faculty of Medicine, UiTM Sungai Buloh.
A workshop at Monash, and Prima Nexus's part
From 9 to 16 October, Prima Nexus sponsored the BRIMS Animal Workshop at the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, in Bandar Sunway. In 2018, Prima Nexus had run the online registration for LASAM's 23rd AGM, told in our story on late 2018. In 2019 it also co-organised two rodent care and use workshops at UPM and sponsored an animal care workshop at USM.
