SUNGAI BULOH, 21 November 2018: Prima Nexus supported three research events in the last months of 2018. It ran the online registration for the Scientific Seminar and 23rd Annual General Meeting of the Laboratory Animal Science Association of Malaysia (LASAM) at Hotel Bangi-Putrajaya on 20 September, sponsored the Workshop on the Care & Use of Rodents in Research 2018 at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on 9 and 10 October, and was invited to speak at Neuroscience Workshop Series 2: Experimental Models of Neurodegenerative Diseases at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Sungai Buloh, from 21 to 23 November.
LASAM's seminar and 23rd AGM
LASAM brought its members together at Hotel Bangi-Putrajaya on 20 September 2018 for a scientific seminar and the association's 23rd Annual General Meeting, its yearly meeting of members. The seminar's topic, shown on the screen at the front of the room, was biosafety and biosecurity in animal research facilities, and one of the slides dealt with allergy prevention. Members and guests gathered on the hotel's staircase for the group photo, between two LASAM banners.
Rodents at UPM and neuroscience at UiTM
On 9 and 10 October, UPM's Unit of Comparative Medicine and Technology (COMeT) held its Workshop on the Care & Use of Rodents in Research 2018 in the Tongkat Ali Room at the Institute of Bioscience, UPM, with Prima Nexus as a sponsor. From 21 to 23 November, UiTM held Neuroscience Workshop Series 2: Experimental Models of Neurodegenerative Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine on its Sungai Buloh campus, in a seminar room in the Academic Building and at NeuRon in the Anatomy Building. Prima Nexus was invited to speak at the workshop.

Prima Nexus ran the online registration for LASAM's seminar and meeting, sponsored the UPM workshop and was invited to speak at UiTM. It had sponsored COMeT's rodent workshop in 2016 and twice in 2017, in May and December, and LASAM's scientific seminars and annual general meetings in 2014 and 2015.
