Prima Nexus sponsored a free hands-on ELISA workshop at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in May 2025, the second session of an ELISA masterclass series. In August it ran ELISA Hands On & Multiplex Insights, a day of hands-on training at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya (UM).

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 August 2025: On 13 August 2025, Prima Nexus ran ELISA Hands On & Multiplex Insights, a hands-on workshop at the Cell and Molecular Biology Laboratory (CMBL) of the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya (UM), in Kuala Lumpur. Three months earlier, on 15 May, Prima Nexus sponsored Precision in Protein Detection, a free hands-on ELISA workshop in the MPG6 lab at UPM and the second session of an ELISA masterclass series. Dr Ramya Dewi, who holds a PhD in biomedical science, was the speaker at both.
A masterclass on precision at UPM
ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is a laboratory test that uses antibodies to measure a specific protein in a sample, and small slips in how it is run can change the result. The UPM workshop, subtitled Troubleshooting and optimization strategies, ran from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm on Thursday 15 May 2025. Its programme covered preparing and handling the reagents, loading samples properly, washing and blocking the plate, using calibration curves and controls, and case studies with their solutions. The workshop was free, and its poster carried the UPM logo, with Prima Nexus named as sponsor. The poster also showed the day as the hands-on step of the series, after a webinar and before a session on data analysis.
ELISA and multiplex at Universiti Malaya
In August, Prima Nexus took a full day of ELISA training to UM. ELISA Hands On & Multiplex Insights ran from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm on 13 August 2025 at CMBL. The programme covered hands-on practice at the bench, data analysis, troubleshooting, multiplexing techniques and optimising assay conditions. Where an ELISA measures one protein, a multiplex immunoassay measures many proteins in the same small sample at once. Places were limited to 30 participants, and the poster carried the logos of Prima Nexus, the UM Faculty of Medicine and the Central Research Laboratories.
ELISA training at UPM and UM
Prima Nexus had held hands-on ELISA workshops at UPM before, including four in 2019 and several sessions in 2024. In May 2026 it returned to CMBL at UM with a hands-on ELISA workshop in its ELISA Roadshow 2026.
