Prima Nexus ran ELISA training at Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2024, including a hands-on workshop with Elabscience
Prima Nexus opened its 2024 ImmunoAssay series online in April, co-organised a hands-on ELISA workshop at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with Elabscience and the Department of Human Anatomy in May, and ran further ELISA workshops at UPM in August and November.

SERDANG, SELANGOR, 5 November 2024: On 14 May 2024, Prima Nexus co-organised a comprehensive ELISA hands-on workshop with Elabscience and the Department of Human Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in Serdang. It was one of several ELISA sessions Prima Nexus held at UPM that year: the fourth session of its ImmunoAssay series, on 6 August, was a hands-on ELISA workshop at UPM, and on 5 November it ran a comprehensive ELISA demonstration workshop at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
An ImmunoAssay series, online and at the bench
ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is a laboratory test that uses antibodies to measure a specific protein, hormone or antibody in a sample, and it is widely used in biomedical research. Prima Nexus opened its 2024 ImmunoAssay series online on 30 April with ELISA Unveiled: Mastering the Basics for Biotech Breakthroughs, a webinar on ELISA, multiplex immunoassays and data analysis. The fourth session of the series, on 6 August, moved to the laboratory as a hands-on ELISA workshop at UPM.
A hands-on workshop with Elabscience
The May workshop took place at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), UPM. Researchers and postgraduate students worked through the ELISA protocol at the laboratory bench, then covered data analysis and troubleshooting, and certificates were issued to 43 participants. Prima Nexus co-organised the day with the Department of Human Anatomy and with Elabscience, the maker of the ELISA kits used.
A demonstration workshop in November
On 5 November, Prima Nexus returned to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for a comprehensive ELISA demonstration workshop. Prima Nexus had run hands-on ELISA workshops at UPM in earlier years too, including four in 2019. More photos from the May workshop are on its event page.
