Controlled Release & Drug Delivery Symposium 2014 (CRDDS2014)

About the symposium
The Centre for Drug Delivery Research at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), hosted CRDDS2014 on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August 2014, in lecture halls DK2 and DK3 on the UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus. It was held in conjunction with the annual general meeting of the Malaysian Local Chapter of the Controlled Release Society (MyCRS), and its theme was "Maximizing Efficacy Through Optimized Delivery".
What the symposium covered
The symposium set out to share recent research and advances in the pharmaceutical sciences. Its topics included new approaches to drug delivery, modified-release systems, sterile and injectable formulations, natural and synthetic polymers, the delivery of peptides, proteins, DNA and genes, other routes into the body, biopharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic studies, the design of dosage forms, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and the safety and stability of medicines. The photographs show the delegates' group photo in front of the title slide, and presentations on the stage.

Prima Nexus was one of the co-sponsors of CRDDS2014, at the invitation of the organising committee. In December 2014 it sponsored a seminar for MyCRS members at the same Centre for Drug Delivery Research, and a year later it sponsored CRDDS2015.
