Prima Nexus sponsored the 31st MSPP meeting in Kelantan and three UKM pharmacy research events in 2017

From the Prima Nexus archive: a look back at April to August 2017.

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 August 2017: Prima Nexus sponsored the 31st Scientific Meeting of the Malaysian Society of Pharmacology and Physiology (MSPP 2017), held with the Health Campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan, on 18 and 19 August 2017, and supported seven students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sungai Buloh to attend. During the year it also sponsored three research events held by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), at its Kuala Lumpur campus, the last of them on 26 August.

MSPP 2017 in Kubang Kerian

The society organised its 31st meeting together with the USM Health Campus, and the sessions took place at the School of Dental Sciences on that campus, under the theme Advancement in Research for Sustainable Health. Researchers and students from several universities, including USM and UiTM, presented their work as oral talks and as posters, across pharmacology, physiology, biochemistry, natural products, complementary medicine, clinical studies, pharmaceutical sciences, molecular biology, toxicology, pharmacogenetics and drug utilisation.

The confirmed speakers were Professor Datuk Dr Asma Ismail, Dato' Professor Dr Jafri Malin Abdullah and Professor Dr Aida Hanum Ghulam Rasool of USM, Professor Soong Tuck Wah of the National University of Singapore, and Professor Dr Nafeeza Mohd Ismail of UiTM.

Research series at the UKM Faculty of Pharmacy

In Kuala Lumpur, the Faculty of Pharmacy at UKM held the Drug Delivery Research Series 1/2017, a two-day workshop, on 4 and 5 April, and the two-day Drug and Herbal Research Workshop (Bengkel Drug Herbal Research) on 17 and 18 July. On 26 August it held a seminar in its Quality Use of Medicines Research Series, 2/2017: Pharmacokinetic of Drugs, Technical and Clinical Aspects. Prima Nexus was a sponsor of all three.

At MSPP 2017, the Prima Nexus logo appeared on the sponsors' panel of the meeting banner, where delegates posed for group photographs.
