From the Prima Nexus archive: a look back at March to November 2025.

SUNGAI BULOH, SELANGOR, 26 November 2025: On 13 March 2025, Prima Nexus held a free webinar with Elabscience titled Learn How Western Blot Detection Kits Improve Efficiency, from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm on Google Meet. The speaker was Dr Ramya Dewi, who holds a PhD in biomedical science. On 26 and 27 November, Prima Nexus sponsored a two-day Western Blot Hands-On Workshop held by MediPA at the Institute of Medical Molecular Biotechnology (IMMB), UiTM Sungai Buloh Campus.

What a Western blot shows

A Western blot detects a specific protein in a mixture of proteins. The proteins in a sample are separated by size on a gel, transferred onto a membrane, and then picked out with antibodies, so a researcher can see whether the protein is there and roughly how much of it there is. It takes several careful steps, and the last one, detecting the antibody signal, is where detection kits come in.

A free webinar in March

The poster asked researchers whether they were struggling with Western blot, and the webinar took up three questions: what the common challenges in traditional Western blotting are, how detection kits enhance speed and sensitivity, and which practices ensure high-quality, reproducible results. It was free to join, and it ran online for an hour and a half. Prima Nexus organised it, with the Elabscience logo beside its own on the poster.

A two-day workshop at IMMB

On 26 and 27 November 2025, MediPA held a Western Blot Hands-On Workshop at the Institute of Medical Molecular Biotechnology (IMMB), UiTM Sungai Buloh Campus, and Prima Nexus sponsored it. IMMB was familiar ground: Prima Nexus had organised an ELISA workshop there in May 2024, told in our 2024 story.
