Prima Nexus gave a talk at IIUM Kuantan in March 2020, then took its training online for the rest of the year
In March 2020, a Prima Nexus representative gave a talk at a seminar of IIUM's Central Research and Animal Facility in Kuantan. After the movement control order began, Prima Nexus worked online: on a molecular pathology course and an animal models workshop with the Institute for Medical Research (IMR), and in six free webinars of its own.

KUANTAN, PAHANG, 18 December 2020: On 2 March 2020, a Prima Nexus representative gave a talk at CREAM Seminar Series 1/2020, held by the Central Research and Animal Facility (CREAM) of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Kuantan. When the movement control order began on 18 March, Prima Nexus postponed its planned campus sessions, and its courses and workshops for the rest of the year were online.
A seminar at IIUM Kuantan
CREAM is the central research and animal facility of IIUM's Kulliyyah of Science. Its opening seminar of 2020 brought together talks on animals in research, and a Prima Nexus representative gave one of them. Prima Nexus also sponsored the seminar. The photos show participants in the lecture hall and the host thanking the Prima Nexus speaker on stage. In 2019, Prima Nexus and CREAM had co-organised a seminar on the use of animals in life science research at the same campus.
A molecular pathology course online
From 14 to 25 September, the Molecular Pathology Unit of IMR and the Histopathology Unit of Hospital Kuala Lumpur ran Molecular Pathology Course 2020, a two-week online course on accreditation for molecular pathology laboratories, from 12 to 2 pm on weekdays. Its sessions covered the ISO 15189 requirements for medical molecular testing and for next-generation sequencing (NGS). Prima Nexus worked with the organisers, ran the online sessions, and in October sent participants their certificates and the recordings.
LASAM's 25th AGM
On 29 September, the Laboratory Animal Science Association of Malaysia (LASAM) held its Scientific Seminar and 25th Annual General Meeting on site at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, from 8 am to 5 pm, with physical distancing and masks. Members of the Prima Nexus team were appointed to the event secretariat.
Animal models, free webinars, and Prima Nexus's part
From 26 to 28 October, Prima Nexus organised a virtual Workshop on Laboratory Animal Models and Standards of Care with IMR's Molecular Pathology Unit and BioRCF In Vivo Research Facility, and ran its online sessions. The programme covered rodent models of disease, international standards of animal care, animal biosafety and health monitoring. Prima Nexus then ran six free webinars: on multiplex immunoassays, immunohistochemistry and western blotting on 18, 25 and 27 November, and a three-part Animal Workshop Series on 11, 16 and 18 December, from animal models and handling to transgenic mice and preparing samples.
