Prima Nexus sponsored pharmacy events at UKM, MAHSA University and IMU in 2016

From the Prima Nexus archive: a look back at April to August 2016.

KUALA LUMPUR, 1 August 2016: Prima Nexus sponsored three pharmacy events in 2016: the Faculty of Pharmacy's Research Symposium 2016 at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), held with a UKM-Thammasat University joint seminar on 12 and 13 April; the 2nd Pharmacy Students' Scientific Conference at MAHSA University on 27 and 28 July; and a CPD Workshop on Nanomedicine at the School of Pharmacy, International Medical University (IMU), on 1 August.

A research symposium with Thammasat University

The Faculty of Pharmacy at UKM held its Research Symposium 2016 at the UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus, together with a joint seminar between UKM and Thammasat University, organised by the faculty's Research Day 2016 committee. The programme brought together invited speakers from Thammasat University, UniKL MESTECH, Universiti Putra Malaysia and UKM, and the talks on pharmacy and pharmacology research took place in a lecture hall on the campus. Prima Nexus set up a photo booth with a Prima Nexus backdrop and hand-held props, where participants stopped for group photos.

Graduating students present their research at MAHSA

The Faculty of Pharmacy, MAHSA University, held its 2nd Pharmacy Students' Scientific Conference in the MAHSA Symposium Auditorium, on Level 9 of the faculty at the Bandar Saujana Putra campus, on the theme Pharmacy Research Towards Innovation. The programme set out a pre-conference workshop to prepare the graduates for their careers, with talks on the role of the pharmacist in hospital, retail pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry, and on job interviews. On the conference day, after welcome speeches and an invited lecture, students presented their work in two oral sessions and a poster session, across pharmacy practice, clinical settings and laboratory research. The day closed with a white coat ceremony and an awards presentation.

Prima Nexus sponsored all three events. At UKM, the organising committee thanked Prima Nexus as one of five companies that sponsored and supported the symposium. The CPD Workshop on Nanomedicine was held by the School of Pharmacy at International Medical University in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
