KUALA LUMPUR, 7 November 2019: Prima Nexus and the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) organised Innovation in Healthcare 101, a sharing session at MaGIC, on 27 August 2019. During the year, Prima Nexus also sponsored five events at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Kuala Lumpur, from the Seminar EMPOWER 2019 cancer colloquium in February to the 11th Medical Undergraduates' Annual Scientific Research Meeting (MUASRM) 2019 on 7 November.
Innovation in Healthcare 101
The session at MaGIC looked at how regulation, technology and patient expectations are changing medical practice. A panel of speakers from the healthcare industry took the stage, and a question-and-answer session gave the audience its turn. The photos show the panel on stage and a large group photo of the participants and speakers. Prima Nexus co-organised the session with MaGIC, a year after it co-organised Innovation Forum Kuala Lumpur 2018 at Universiti Malaya.
Cancer survivorship, neuroscience and new ideas at UKM
The Faculty of Health Sciences held Seminar EMPOWER 2019, a cancer colloquium titled A Holistic Approach Towards Cancer Survivorship, at Balai Seni Negara, Kuala Lumpur, on 14 and 15 February. On 18 March, the Department of Physiology held BrainBee@UKM 2019, on neuroscience, in the Auditorium Hall of the Faculty of Medicine in Cheras. On 30 March, the Kolej Tun Dr Ismail Student Council held the Intervarsity Inventions and Innovations in Medicine Idea Challenge 2019 in Dewan Kuliah 1 of the Preclinical Building, Faculty of Medicine. Prima Nexus had sponsored the 2018 challenge too.
A research week and an undergraduate meeting
The Faculty of Medicine held its 21st Medical and Health Research Week (Minggu Penyelidikan Perubatan & Kesihatan ke-21) at UKM Medical Centre in Cheras from 22 to 25 July. On 7 November, it held MUASRM 2019 in the Galleria and Lecture Halls 1 and 2 of its Blok Pendidikan in Cheras. Prima Nexus sponsored each of these UKM events.
