BANGI, 6 September 2017: On 6 September 2017, Prima Nexus and the School of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), co-organised a one-day ELISA hands-on workshop in Bangi. It followed three ELISA workshops in August: a second workshop of the year with the Cell and Molecular Biology Laboratory (CMBL) at Universiti Malaya (UM), the August session of the Prima Nexus Workshop Series at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and a technical workshop on HPLC and ELISA at Monash University Malaysia, where Prima Nexus was a trainer.
Three ELISA workshops in August
On 9 August, Prima Nexus and CMBL, part of the Faculty of Medicine at UM, ran their second ELISA hands-on workshop of 2017 in the CMBL, after one on 5 April. On 23 August, the August session of the Prima Nexus Workshop Series 2017 took place in the Human Anatomy Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM, co-organised with the university's Department of Anatomy. On 24 and 25 August, Prima Nexus was a trainer at the BRIMS Technical Workshop Series 2017, a two-day workshop on HPLC and ELISA held by BRIMS, the brain research institute of the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Monash University Malaysia.
A full ELISA run at UKM Bangi
The September workshop took place at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UKM, in Bangi. Participants prepared the reagents, standards and samples, ran a DHEA-sulfate ELISA, read the plate and analysed the data. During the incubation, Prima Nexus gave a short talk on multiplex immunoassays, which measure several targets in one sample. Prima Nexus had also co-organised a hands-on ELISA workshop on the UKM Bangi campus in December 2016.

Prima Nexus co-organised the workshops at UM, UPM and UKM Bangi with their host departments, and was a trainer at the BRIMS workshop.
