From the Prima Nexus archive: a look back at May to October 2024.

BANDAR SAUJANA PUTRA, SELANGOR, 21 October 2024: On 27 May 2024, Prima Nexus organised a comprehensive ELISA demonstration and data analysis workshop with the Faculty of Dentistry, MAHSA University. Later in the year it ran three online sessions on ELISA: a webinar on ELISA data analysis on 13 August, an ELISA techniques sharing and discussion session with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) on 15 August, and a webinar on ELISA and multiplex immunoassays on 21 October.

A workshop at the Faculty of Dentistry

ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is a laboratory test that uses antibodies to measure a specific protein, hormone or antibody in a sample. The workshop covered an introduction to ELISA, a group demonstration, data analysis and troubleshooting, with Dr Liew Fong Fong of MAHSA University as facilitator. Participants worked in groups at their tables, and certificates were issued to 19 participants. The photos show the group at their tables, the hands-on work and a talk to the whole room.

ELISA online

On 13 August, Prima Nexus ran an online webinar on ELISA data analysis, the step that turns the readings from an ELISA plate into results. Two days later, on 15 August, it held an online ELISA techniques sharing and discussion session with UTAR. On 21 October, a webinar compared ELISA with multiplex immunoassays: an ELISA usually measures one target, while a multiplex immunoassay measures several targets in one sample.
