1st LASAM International Conference 2024 (LIC 2024)
The Laboratory Animal Science Association of Malaysia (LASAM) held its first international conference, LIC 2024, at the Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on 8 and 9 May 2024, in the year of its 30th anniversary.

About the conference
LIC 2024 brought laboratory animal scientists, veterinarians and researchers together on the theme of safeguarding animal welfare in Malaysia and the role of researchers. It also marked the 30th anniversary of LASAM, and participants joined both in the hall and online.
The keynote was given by Dr Rohana Abu Bakar of the Veterinary Research Division, Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia, and the speakers came from Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Indonesia.
