The conference and its host
IPoPS 2017 was the fifth International Postgraduate Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences, held at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), in Puncak Alam, Selangor. Its theme was Concerted Research Towards Holistic Healthcare through Pharmaceutical Sciences. Submitted abstracts were set for publication in the International Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Keynote and invited speakers
On 17 May, Prof. Dr. Gerald M. Cohen of the University of Liverpool gave the keynote lecture in the DK500 Hall, on apoptosis, the BCL-2 family and cancer chemotherapy. Invited speakers from Thailand, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia covered pharmacogenomics, clinical pharmacy practice, bioorganic chemistry, bioinformatics and toxicology, and postgraduate researchers showed their work in a poster session.
Prima Nexus's part
Prima Nexus supported the conference. At the venue it set up a photo booth with a branded backdrop, where delegates could take a picture and collect a printed instant photo. Researchers planning a study can read about Prima Nexus research support and animal studies.
