About ICAMS 2017
The 3rd International Conference on Advances in Medical Science, known as ICAMS 2017, was organised by the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). It took place on 19 and 20 April 2017 at Marina Bay Putrajaya, with a theme of innovation and research. Delegates met in the conference hall for two days of talks on medical science, and research posters were on display during the conference.
The ELISA hands-on workshop
On 18 April 2017, the day before the conference opened, Prima Nexus organised an ELISA hands-on workshop at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, UKM. It was led by Surani Sukor and Kimmy Lai of the Prima Nexus life science team. The workshop included a talk on the common types of ELISA, including sandwich ELISA and its advantages and disadvantages, and hands-on work in the laboratory, where participants pipetted into a microplate at the bench. Participants received a certificate of attendance.

Prima Nexus was a sponsor of ICAMS 2017, and the ELISA workshop was organised in conjunction with the conference. The workshop was the April session of the Prima Nexus Workshop Series 2017. ELISA is still part of what Prima Nexus offers researchers today, through its ELISA and Luminex services.
