Prima Nexus Renews MoU With UPM's Institute of Bioscience, Extending Animal Research Collaboration to 2030
The renewed Memorandum of Understanding continues a partnership with UPM's Comparative Medicine and Technology Unit (COMeT) that began in 2017.

SERDANG, SELANGOR, 22 October 2025: Prima Nexus Sdn Bhd has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), represented by the Institute of Bioscience (IBS), extending the partners' collaboration in animal research until 2030. The MoU was renewed on 12 August 2025.
Eight years of partnership
Since the collaboration with COMeT began in 2017, a shared passion for advancing animal research standards has grown into a strong alliance that bridges academia and industry. Together, the partners have co-organised workshops, supported research projects and built capacity to strengthen animal research services across institutions.

What the renewal covers
Through the renewed MoU, Prima Nexus and the Institute of Bioscience aim to continue enhancing the quality and integrity of animal research, empowering scientists and supporting the next generation of researchers.
Prima Nexus runs animal studies in rats and mice in Malaysia, from model sourcing to in vivo work and preclinical pharmacology.
