KUALA LUMPUR, 29 April 2015: Prima Nexus organised the April 2015 session of the PrimaNexus Discussion Series, a seminar on diabetes and the role of glucagon, held on 29 April 2015 at Hilton Hotel, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur. Dr Jibin Chi, Managing Director Asia Pacific of Mercodia, gave the plenary talk, and Dr Thuan D. Bui, founder and CEO of i-DNA Biotechnology, also spoke.
A seminar on diabetes and glucagon
The April 2015 session of the PrimaNexus Discussion Series looked at diabetes and the role of glucagon. It was held on 29 April 2015 in a meeting room at Hilton Hotel, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, with participants seated at long tables facing the screen.
The two partner companies, Mercodia and i-DNA Biotechnology, each provided a speaker, and the certificate of attendance given to participants names both.
The speakers
Dr Jibin Chi, Managing Director Asia Pacific of Mercodia, gave the plenary talk. He trained in medicine at the Medical University of China, and his career includes work with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies in Australia, Europe and the USA. He has been continuously involved in the development of diabetes-related technology.
Dr Thuan D. Bui, founder and CEO of i-DNA Biotechnology, also spoke. He holds a PhD in molecular biology from the University of London and was a research fellow at the University of Oxford and at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, Singapore. In 2004 he started i-DNA Biotechnology in Singapore and Malaysia.
Prima Nexus's part
Prima Nexus organised the session and prepared the printed material for the day, including Prima Nexus folders on the tables, certificates of attendance for participants and a certificate of appreciation for the plenary speaker.
The two speakers came from different fields: Dr Chi from diabetes-related technology, and Dr Bui from molecular biology and DNA testing.
