KUALA LUMPUR, 27 August 2026: Prima Nexus Managing Partner Nura Samsuddin attended the opening of the National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo 2026 (NICE 2026) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 27 August 2026, officiated by Prime Minister YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

One message stood out strongly from the opening remarks: the future of Malaysia's innovation ecosystem depends on closer collaboration between academic researchers and industry partners. The Prime Minister summed up the direction in three lines: “Makmal ke Impak, Impak ke Pasaran, Malaysia ke Dunia”, from lab to impact, from impact to market, from Malaysia to the world.
Research should not stop at the laboratory. The next step is to translate discoveries into solutions, create value and bring innovations to the market, as Malaysia moves towards a stronger commercialisation-driven research ecosystem where good ideas can become solutions with global impact.
