KUALA LUMPUR, 7 December 2016: Prima Nexus sponsored the 3rd Pan-Asian Biomedical Science Conference (3rd PABSC 2016), a two-day meeting held in Kuala Lumpur on 7 and 8 December 2016 on the theme Biomedical Science: Frontier in Global Health Challenges. The Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and eleven universities co-organised the conference. Prima Nexus provided delegate folders, pens and notepads, and ran a photo booth for delegates.
A two-day meeting on global health challenges
The 3rd Pan-Asian Biomedical Science Conference ran on 7 and 8 December 2016. Its theme was Biomedical Science: Frontier in Global Health Challenges. The Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia co-organised it with eleven universities, among them Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, International Islamic University Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA and Management and Science University. Talks ran in two halls, and exhibitors set up booths in the foyer.
Keynotes, themed sessions and posters
The programme listed three keynote lectures: Prof. Dr. Mohd. Hair bin Bejo on emerging infectious and zoonotic diseases, Prof. Dato' Paduka Dr. Mafauzy Mohamed on the rise of diabetes, and Prof. Dr. Pathmanathan A. Rajadurai on lessons for cancer therapy from the management of lung cancer. Five themed sessions covered emerging infectious and zoonotic diseases, non-communicable diseases, diagnostics and therapeutics, natural products and health, and community health and epidemiology. A Young Investigator's Session carried further oral presentations, poster sessions ran alongside the tea and lunch breaks, and the conference closed with an awards presentation.
Prima Nexus at the conference
Prima Nexus sponsored the folders, pens and notepads given to delegates. The team also set up a photo booth with a Prima Nexus backdrop and science-themed props, such as a flask and a lab mouse. Delegates could take a photo and receive an instant print. Photos from the conference show delegates, in groups and on their own, at the booth.
