SUBANG JAYA, SELANGOR, 10 September 2026: Prima Nexus Sdn Bhd was at the 3rd MyBiomed Symposium 2026, “Bridging Discovery, Technology and Healthcare”, held on 7 and 8 September 2026 at Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. Prima Nexus supported the symposium as a sponsor, and its Lead Scientist, Dr Lim Chong Teik, was invited to speak on the panel “Future-Proofing Biomedical Science Careers: Skills, Innovation and Industry Readiness”.
Skills, innovation and industry readiness
The panel brought together Assoc. Prof. Dr Nurul Asma Abdullah, Head of the Biomedical Science Programme at the School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia; Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr Ooi Ean Hin, Course Director for Biomedical Engineering at Monash University Malaysia; and Dr Lim Chong Teik, Lead Scientist at Prima Nexus. It was moderated by Prof. Dr Nor Fadilah Rajab of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
The discussion focused on the skills, innovation and industry readiness that biomedical science graduates need to build lasting careers.
An ecosystem view
The symposium brought students, postgraduate students, researchers, academics, industry, ministry representatives and entrepreneurs together in one space. For Prima Nexus Managing Partner Nura Samsuddin, whose own path has run through sales, marketing, event management, clinical trial and research project coordination, research management, commercialisation and entrepreneurship, the multidisciplinary focus struck a chord.
Prima Nexus also welcomed visitors at its booth during the two-day symposium.
