Prima Nexus, the Comparative Medicine and Technology Unit (COMeT) and the animal care and use committee of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) jointly organised a Workshop on the Care & Use of Rodents in Research on 25 and 26 September 2019.

About the workshop
This was the second run of the workshop in 2019, held at UPM’s Institute of Bioscience and at COMeT. Lectures covered the forms of the institutional animal care and use committee (IACUC), nutrition, statistics, rodent anatomy, ethics, pain management and humane end points, including a Prima Nexus session on molecular work after an animal study. Hands-on sessions followed on handling mice and rats and taking blood samples.
