About the workshop
The workshop ran from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Tuesday 28 July 2026 at the Protein Lab (Makmal Protein) of IMMB, UiTM Sungai Buloh, and was open to UiTM students and staff. It was part of the Prima Nexus ELISA Roadshow 2026.
Dr Ramya Dewi introduced the principles and uses of ELISA, then led each group of researchers through a full ELISA run at the bench: preparing the standards and loading the wells, washing the plate, adding the biotinylated detection antibody and the HRP conjugate, and adding the substrate. The afternoon covered data analysis, troubleshooting and optimisation. The day closed with a sharing session on multiplex immunoassays.
