A training session at IPharm-NIBM
On 14 June 2017, Prima Nexus organised a training session on the CODA Non-Invasive Blood Pressure System. It was the June session of the Prima Nexus Workshop Series 2017. The session took place at the Animal Research Facilities of the Malaysian Institute of Pharmaceuticals and Nutraceuticals (IPharm), part of the National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM). Trainers and participants wore laboratory protective clothing: gowns, hair covers, face masks and gloves.
What the training covered
Dr Raymond Leong and Kimmy Lai of Prima Nexus led the session. At the bench, the CODA system was set up with its controller, tubing and a laptop, and each part was explained to the group. Participants followed with printed notes as the steps were shown. The group also saw the laboratory animals in their cages inside the facility, since the system is used to measure blood pressure in these animals without an invasive procedure.
Prima Nexus's part
Prima Nexus organised the session and provided both trainers from its life science team. Participants received a Prima Nexus certificate of attendance naming the workshop, the trainers and the venue.
