The society's 30th scientific meeting
The Malaysian Society of Pharmacology and Physiology (MSPP) held its 30th Scientific Meeting over two days. It was organised by MSPP with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The theme was Health Sciences: Frontiers in Translational Medicine. Researchers and postgraduate students from Malaysian universities presented new work in both fields.
Talks, posters and awards
The meeting had oral presentations in the meeting rooms and a poster session. The presentations included studies in rats of natural products such as propolis, royal jelly, Centella asiatica and tocotrienol, on diabetes, reproduction and memory. Awards were presented on stage, and winners stood with their trophies and certificates in front of the meeting screen.

Prima Nexus supported the meeting as a sponsor. It provided delegate materials, including Prima Nexus folders, pens and notepads, and it sponsored the conference registration of two postgraduate students from the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Several of the studies presented at the meeting used rat models, and Prima Nexus now offers researchers in vivo studies in rats and mice, covering animal models, dosing, sampling and safety testing.
