The Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Society of Malaysia (NPCSM) is delighted to announce its 7th Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) Research day which will be held on the 6th March 2018 in University of Malaya. This is an annual NPC research meeting in Malaysia since 2010. NPC is an Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated cancer with an exceptionally high incidence rate in Southern Asia, including Malaysia. Among the different ethnic groups in Malaysia, NPC is more common in Chinese and Borneo natives. The goal of the meeting is to bring together groups of experts ranging from scientists to clinicians, all focused on understanding and improving outcome for patients with NPC. The meeting will consist of a series of seminar, including talks by internationally renowned researchers in NPC/EBV field. We anticipate approximately 60 participants from local and private universities/institutes across Malaysia attending the meeting. The target audiences include basic research and clinical scientists, all professionals and trainees who are interested in NPC.
